Meet Your Teachers
I am so excited to start another year teaching middle school science and math. I began as a Resource Teacher, then taught 5th grade for several years, and finally found the perfect spot up in middle school.
My love for science was fostered during my childhood, but really took hold when I was in school at Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado. While getting my teaching license, I also was a river guide and avid climber. These two sports truly fostered and cemented my love for science, not to mention the outdoors. Most weekends I can be found playing outside with my family. We enjoy rafting, hiking and camping.
I can't wait to begin this new year! We have so much to learn and explore together.
I am thrilled to be joining the middle school science team at PCK this year! For the past five years, I have taught science at the high school level in Omaha, Nebraska. Prior to teaching, I worked with elementary and middle school students as a tutor and teacher's aide.
I look forward to sharing my love for science (and learning!) with students. I received my Bachelor's degree from Rockhurst University and my Master's degrees from University of Virginia and College of Saint Mary. I especially love applying my science knowledge to "real life" topics, such as biomedical and forensic science.
Having recently moved to Colorado, I can't wait to explore my new home. I'm excited to get to know my students and their families this year!
