Meet Your Teachers

Mrs. Wendy Eckert

I am thrilled to start another year with middle schoolers!  August 2023 will be the beginning of my 23nd year of teaching middle school English, and this year will be my 18th at Parker Core Knowledge.  All three of my children graduated from PCK. Clason is in her final year at CSU (Go, RAMS!) studying civil engineering, and CJ attends college and has an internship with Wagner/Caterpillar. My youngest child Ashlyn is in 10th grade at Chaparral High School.

As far as my education, I completed my Master's in Secondary Education in 2011.  I also hold a Bachelor's in English and another in Art History; I have a minor in Visual Arts, Photography as well.

I love tennis, lifting weights, trap shooting, and the WATER!!! I love the pool, the beach, and the lake so very much; I'm sad that summer is over. I'm also a 11 year breast cancer survivor who adores every moment with my friends, family, and two English Mastiffs --- Hazel and Willow.

I'm looking forward to another great year.  Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns.  Email is certainly the easiest and quickest way to reach me, but please call if needed.

Mrs. Margaret Nelson

Hello!  I am so excited to be teaching in the middle school!  This is my thirteenth year at PCK and my 27th year of teaching overall.  I hold a BA in English and Sociology, a Master's in Teaching, a Specialist degree in Reading, and a Master's in English. As a result, my career has spanned grades K-12, and now I'm happy to be back in the middle grades.

My family consists of my husband, four children, one grandchild, and two dogs, all of whom keep me very busy!  Two of my children attended school here at PCK and I feel very lucky to have been a part of this school as a parent and as a teacher.

In my time away from school, you can find me reading, knitting, traveling, shooting at the archery range, or cheering on my daughter at the barn.  If you need to reach me at any time, please send me an email and I will respond as quickly as possible.

I am looking forward to meeting all of you!
